Ahh the addiction gets worse and worse…When I got into Figuarts, I just wanted the Kamen Riders…even then just the base forms…then the secondary Riders…and then the Sentai started rolling out, and so far few regrets. Today we have the latest Red from Kyoryuger! Soon to be adapted into Dino Charge from our good friend Saban.
To start off, the suit translates perfectly. Also this is one of my favorite suits, second only to Gokai Red. I mean this hits all my buzz points, from the scaling on the arms to the asymmetric design. Plus the fabric folds on the legs and the best dino helmet since Zyuranger I’m happy.
I LOVE the balance on this guy. The pose above of course has no stand. Just pure Figuart grace. Now be warned, this guy has some TIGHT joints. I think I may invest in some shock oil to remedy that. Not scary squeeking, but even the elbows had resistance.
Also, oh dear lord, the hands…be CAREFUL when pulling them off and pegging new ones in the first time! Again, TIIIIIIGHT! I was damn scared I’d break a peg…and speaking of hands we of course have our fists, sword holding hand, pistol hand, and my new favorite, the role call pose hands! That rage/claw is very universal and can be used to enhance most poses. We also have the above shown sword form of the revolver…
As well as the gun itself. Oh and there is also a *little* dino battery…which I can’t show you because when trying to remove it, it decided to fly from the packaging and is now gone from this world in my display room…I’ll probably find it the day I move I swear…
We also get the armored up version of his right arm! This was unexpected, I’ll be honest. I thought they would milk this and just make a new figure. I love and hate it, because the arm switch out is kind of scary at first. Also the upper arm armor kind of hinders posing. The weapon is a clip on like the hands, but you can put a normal hand if you want…but why would you?
Honestly, after that, there isn’t much more to say. We have a great sculpt that translates the show uniform perfectly, Figuart articulation that is top notch…and the scariest hand swap out I have ever encountered. So yes I can recommend it, just be careful at first.
