So hitting the Marvel Legends again, and with this we get Miss Marvel, Kamala Khan. There is a lot of fun both with this character and the figure itself. This is with the Sandman wave, and while I have to wonder why she is with a Spiderman related wave, I am glad we have her!
Well we have here your Marvel Legends female buck…and I adore her completely. Sure the single jointed elbows will eat at me until I give up the hobby, but this girl is something special.
I love how the costume translated from the comic. A mix of spandex and heritage. The ribbons on the back may need some hot water to get them straight, but aside from that no complaints. Her face came out perfect and I had perfect paint on the eyes.
Now we come to the fun part, believe it or not, she doesn’t have alternate hands, but alternate ARMS! They pull out no issues.
With this we get a great use of her super power! She is stretchy! Since I don’t see us getting gummy rubber bits any time soon, this is the next best thing. These are well sculpted solid arms…and actually that is my one issue. I would have loved if the hand was on a peg to offer a bit more posing options. Wait…did I say arms?
Yup! We have a more out reaching hand. Also solid sculpted mind you. It’s a shame Hasbro only got us arms, in the comics she also stretches her legs, I think that would have been rather fun as a figure.
As far as female figures go, this has a tone of heart put into it. We really get the fun of the character translated to the figure. Hasbro could have easily redone the Spidergirl body with paint but instead put a lot of new parts on her. I easily give Miss Marvel an A-.
