After Arcee we get yet another Fembot, Chromia! Ironically she is made from…well…Arcee lol. But honestly Hasbro has been on kick with the remolds so let us see how she rolls out!
Starting out in altmode, we have an awesome cybertronian motorcycle. The Tron comparisons are accurate, but what I’m loving is how this looks like a Generations Afterburner! No chance of that happening, but I’m more than pleased.
I’m totally digging this form though. Now you can plug her side arm into one of the peg hole…but it’s weapon storage…
Transformation is Transformers Prime Arcee, and it yields a neat robot.
He articulation is cool most of the time, but to get any good leg poses, you have to pull her “bustle” away from her hips. It kind of throws the balance out, but still allows some great stances. I do have to point out, did not pass the one leg stand test.
When the part is over the hips, she just looks like a skinny nervous wreck lol…
She can get some great knee bends and balance. Now I have to mention the sculpt. The face has a soft expression, but still a soldier. The colors are cool blues with a touch of red. Very pleasing to the eyes.
Accessories…well accessory is the pistol, though on the pack of the packaging she is dual wielding. It at least has the courtesy to say that the second gun isn’t packaged. It also happens to be Arcee’s so we can recreate the pose. Of course Arcee’s gun uses that slot handle, so is a bit trickier to get a grip.
This seems to have been the time of the Fembots! I’m more than please to have some gender balance in the collection and hope for more in the ranks…you know…like an official Slipstream? Until then, the girls are worthy purchases.
Despite being a remold, Chromia is a worthy purchase. She looks great in both modes, has some great design tweaks, and just is a good figure. My only nit picking is the limited hips movement when the bustle is over the hips (seriously, some hinges would have fixed that…) but aside from that a solid buy. I give a grade A.
