Today I present to you a monumental figure…DX-9, a group that works with Unique Toys, has given us something fans have clamored for…they have risen to the challenge…of the Gobots! (see what I did there?) This is the first of hopefully more of giving the 3rd party love to these other transforming robots. So let’s see how it goes!
Salmoore comes packaged in robot mode, and he is freaking glorious! This is Cy-Kill brought to a truly awesome realization. The colors, oh it gets the Nostalgia engine running! This is the Renegade looking to rule the universe! Now I now some are turned off by the asymmetry but long time readers know, I love it!
Then we get to the accessories…gone are the fist blasters, Salmoore is packing heat! He has two blasters that will be used in alt mode as well as shoulder armor. Now while the armor is cool, it can’t be repurposed, so I guess he just puts it on before battle.
Articulation is top notch. He was able to take a knee with almost no extra work. Now with mine the legs are a little loose, but will attempt the floor polish trick on them. Oh and just in case,
Salmoore here passes the one legged test with flying colors!
Then I transfor—err…converted him. The weapons become the exhaust pipes which is awesome. Even more awesome? The freaking bike he becomes! Now I was reminded by Phillip Reed of Battlegrip.com that the arms…are a challenge. This is true, but for me it was worth it.
Oh man, If I owned this as a real bike my beard would grow 29 times as fast. This is a testosterone chopper! This has an awesome presence, and looks great as a display piece.
DX-9 did an AMAZING job with this figure. Aside from mine being slightly loose, the QC is awesome. The plastic is solid and colors are vibrant. Oh and he can hold most 5mm port stuff! I have really little to nitpick about this guy, aside from not being able to use the armor in alt mode. They did remold this guy as a Junkion as well, but for me that takes away the glory of having Cy-kill. This is an easy recommendation! A+
