On the 6th Night of Hanukkah Starscreamer reviewed for me…a Figure that needs no introduction…mostly because he’ll do it himse—I AM GROOT! Ok…that’s done…if you have heard my rantings on the podcast I could never find a certain Rocket rodent…well I finally tracked one down and he had the final piece to this Build a Figure…so is he worth getting all those guys? (especially that Iron Man…gah he sucks…)
Well after tracking, begging and pleading I was able to finally put this guy together, and I can say I wasn’t let down. This is an imposing figure with some fantastic detailing.
The texturing in the bark really won me over. When I finally got him all assembled I had to take a moment to just marvel at this figure. His stance is solid, and can all kinds of dynamic poses. What is great with this figure is that even simple stuff shows personality. From an outstretched arm, to even a head tilt.
I love the face, with the simple expression. The hands are perfect for holding objects, and he just seems so eager to check them out.
Articulation is top notch as well. Especially for a figure this size. You have ankles, wrists, waist, yeah all my favorites. Allows him to get down and dirty with the bad guys.
When paired with Rocket, they just seem made to go together. I honestly would have paid for just a two pack of them. The charm they had in the movie carries over to the toy form.
So yes, it is worth getting all the guys to make him. Just give Ironman to an actual kid…that one who is always wanting *something* from your collection. You’ll both be happy…and you’ll have a complete Groot!!!
