It has been AGES since I’ve reviewed a Figuart, but I’ve still been collecting them and adding them to the display! I admit I’ve been lax, and have totally glazed over the Blade boys, but don’t worry…today I give you Chalice! This Ace of Hearts is here to slay some undead and make a heart symbol a badass thing!
Once again Bandai went all the way to the awesome with this figure. Black base with beautiful gold and silver on the body just highlighted with brilliant red…even if not a fan of the show, this is a sexy suit design. Details of course are sculpted in the belt and armor, I really have no complaints.
Articulation is right up to par, so we can hit all the dynamic poses you can come up with. This lives up to my standards for Figurts to a T.
Aside from the usual plethora of hands, Chalice does come with his bow. One thing that is awesome is that it’s hinged to make it look like he is drawing the string back to blast his opponent. Also he has his rouser cards, but I keep those sealed (ok, that wasn’t a Blade joke…really…) just due to having a two year old in the house now lol.
I know this review may seem brief, but really I have zero negative statements about this figure. He is everything I want in a Figuart. I mean I tried to watch Blade, and will give it a second try, but the figure is just perfect, so I had to have him.
Of the three I own, he is easily my favorite. I can say ALL the Blade boys though are worth owning…ok I’m hesitant on Leangle, but my fellow Podcaster Ryan says he’s good as well…
This is a must have for high end collectors in my opinion. Solid sculpt, great design, nothing feels cheap. As always you can get from Big Bad Toy Store.
