Ok, keeping with the pace! Today I present to you the leader of the Feral Cons Leo Dux! I’m seriously on the Master Mind Creations Bandwagon if you haven’t guessed, and the hits keep coming!
I’m just going to go straight to the meat on this guy…GOD DAMN HE IS AWESOME. This is some plastic perfection. Leo Dux is the leader of the team and it shows. Packing two badass swords he is the leader of his pride. The sculpt is Razor Claw taken to his proper level.
This is an imposing form, and screams warrior. Nothing subtle about him. From the blades to his cannons, Leo Dux is ready to just wade into battle at his own pace while providing his own covering fire. As always the plastic is top notch and he just feels stable.
The cannons can point forward which of course is more awesome on top of awesome. He is never unarmed.
While not stated, you can peg the swords to his back. They aren’t the tightest but they hold. He also has a mace made from parts of his alt mode that I just can’t get him to hold, so not in these shots.
The face sculpt is awesome, and I love the rivets in the main. I will say due to the nature of his transformation and how he transforms for his torso section, he isn’t quite as…articulated as Fortis and Bovis. Still he hits all the poses I need. Also he had peg holes in both forearms that are perfect to deck him out with even more weapons from his team mated.
Alt mode of course is this king of the beasts. The transformation isn’t as complex as Bovis and Fortis. Probably the most basic transformation of all my MMC figures. I LOVE how the mane unfolds. The mace handle becomes his tail and it’s club head is filler for the lion’s chest. Really well done.
Lion mode has plenty of articulation and allows us to have an expressive beast.
The jaw does open and the cannons still move to provide long range attack capability. You can put the swords on the hips, but that was too crazy even for me lol…plus they blocked all the cool shots.
Have I mentioned his size? He is definitely the Alpha of this crew. I mean Bovis and Fortis are not exactly the smallest figures I have and hi is over a head taller…taking note of that…
That mace I keep referring to? Yeah that becomes the handle for the sword Feral Rex holds…so this is how long it will be…just how big is this guy going to be when done??
Needless to say, still happy with how this project is going and still zero regrets. I was lucky to cash in on the early bird buys on this guy, and the gamble is still paying off. Even at the retail I highly recommend getting this guy or any of the MMC team.
