Ok, Ok, I know I said I wouldn’t be getting another one of these guys, but I couldn’t resist. Once again I venture to the SIC mini realm and take on one of my favorite Rider designs of Kamen Rider Kaixa. Was it worth the chance? Keep on reading!
The KT line has the greatest packaging period. Better than Figuarts, better than the full sized SICs, it is just perfect.
For a 4 inch figure, the posing potential for the current KT lines are just amazing. If Bandai of America used these bodies for their Power Rangers, oh lord…I need to stress the detail in this figure. It shows in all the pictures, and when handling him, I just could not stop looking at all the intricate lines.
Accessories, we have his signature weapon that doubles both as a blaster…
As well as a beautiful sword. The blade just plugs in, but no issues at all with this. The blade is lined with yellow translucent plastic to give that energy edge. Of course he has a holster as well to hold the weapon.
His phone is removable from his belt, not only to call for back up…
but has a (separate piece mind you) blaster mode. We also have fists, calm and holding hands as well.
Really the detail on a figure this just amazing. The face is usually the focal point, so I cut it off to draw serious attention to the body. Ryuki was nice, don’t get me wrong, but Kaixa is just another class above.
Pegged to his hip is the Kaixa shot, which…does nothing, just pegs there. Honestly I would have rather had that molded in, just so there is one less piece to loose. On the other hand, pegged into his back is his Kaixa Pointer!
The barrels swivel down and it can be pegged to his leg. With this picture, have I also lauded the posing on this line? He is less than 5 inches tall!
Anyway, we have him rider kick ready! Also with is size he is friendly for your tamashii stages. If you like to leave your figures in flying through the air poses, no worries of the stage arms getting weak. Also…THEY DETAILED THE BOTTOM OF HIS FEET!!! How cool is that??
My biggest issues with Ryuki were his shoulders and neck. No such issues at all here. While lose for movement, the shoulders don’t feel floppy. The neck gives just enough up and down movement for expression.
SIC KT Kaixa is everything that is right with a figure. Tight joints, amazing posing, phenomenal detailing are always good. The killer is the price tag (for now) is about $15 bucks! You have no reason to be nervous about ordering him. Only reason I say for now, is that Faiz in this line is currently listed for over $90, which is just wrong. Kaixa though, I give him my full recommendation, even if you don’t like the character.
*note, I am not done with this guy…oh no…we have a nice add on for him later…
