Got in my Tamashii stands today, a few act 4s which you see a lot of with Figuarts stuff, but I also got a set of Act 5 stages. These are more heavy duty, with a base designed to counter more weight. Expect to see these in use with more Transformer Reviews, but damn I had fun messing around! I hope you enjoy these, I did some new techniques as well with the following shots.
Man these are better than the review pictures lol…now the long arm that attaches to the base has a ratchet joint that just clicks into place. This way it can support the greater weight of mecha figures. If you have Figuarts Ryuki Knight (I will review one day I swear!) he has the same base to support his Final Vent. All I know is these bases held War Machine perfectly. Also you can see the angles on the bases. They can be connected as well. This is great if you have to rotate the display for better angles.
This keeps everything the same position even though you rotated the entire display. I will say, these are some of my best pictures lol. Now if you notice the clasp on Iron Man’s leg and the one holding Warm Machine by the waist. You have to use judgment on which is better. I tried using either one with Generations WFC Megatron…still haven’t gotten the right one to hold him yet.
Works great with Jazz and most Scout size though…
Was going to save this for the Jazz review, but hey I like to show off lol
Best thing about having all these stages is using them in unison. I mentioned Ryuki comes with a custom stage, but when adding a second…
You get that perfect action shot. Also I did some camera experimenting with this picture, expect a new standard.
Stands have become essential for action scene photography, and the Tamashii series is a fantastic generic line. I know the Figma figures come packaged with their own, as do some Revoltechs, but for the rest, you can not go wrong with Bandai’s line. When I opened these guys up, Mrs. Screamer knew I’d be lost in the display room lol. Chances are I will still be later this week. If you want to take your hobby to the next level, or even upgrade that desk display, pick your self up a set of stages. Act 4 or 5 are my recommendations, you get a set of 3 per pack.
