Ok, was supposed to get “Another Agito” (that is his name) this week…but a slight error on my vendor got me Agito Ground Form. To say what has already been said, one extra pair of hands, and a face plate is all you get for accessories, that’s it, deal with it. So aside from that how does this guy hold up?
I loved the Agito series. Nice production for it’s time. Cool story (bro) and amazing characters. Seriously contemplating getting Gills as well as GX-3 because frankly they are all awesome
Agito’s image transfers perfectly to the Figuarts form. His body sculpt is dead on, really looks sharp on the display stand. Even the legs are looking nice. I do like these legs much more than the Ryuki series, almost up there against the Kabuto line, but there are reasons they don’t quite beat them. The detail on the armor is bold, and I LOVE the belt. A sharp crystal look gilded with the gold is a nice touch.
Agito uses an older style of Figuarts body, and it shows. They do restrict the legs and shoulders. I have been spoiled by the adjustable hips and shoulders from his contemporaries especially Kabuto. Those offer a much broader range of movement. The feet are die cast though so that helps keep him in neat poses.
Accessory count as mentioned is LOW, but one of the more novel ones is the different face plate. When Agito is about to unleash his final attack, in the show the crest on his helmet would fan out. Here, each plate has a different crest. Of course after you pop one off, the helmet is still a bit…well lacking…but you get a great look on how Figuarts makes them compound eyes!
The biggest complaint of course is the fact that of the hands they gave us, they didn’t give us the chopping hands. This can be fixed if you have Kamen Rider Black. And if you don’t you should have him on the grounds he’s an awesome figure and a future review will show that I assure. But his hands are perfect for Agito.
Not show is some poor monster getting the meanest boot to the head ever…
So despite the limited accessory count and limited motion I do not regret having this guy. I will say while not a must have, he is a nice addition, and a welcome sight to any Rider group shot. If you can get him for a good price, snag him…
(Agito was a DX fan…go figure…)
